My friend Junneen runs her own business (as a second job too mind you!) creating these gorgeous baby/toddler blankets and burp cloths and I've taken product shots of her store items before but she needed some quick updated shots of her new blankets to put on her online store called The Bundle Shop. Junneen really wanted some close up, cuddling, tender shots of her new line of blankets.
Ellie picked out the blanket she wanted to model. It was just about bedtime and we have virtually no light left. I shot all of these at ISO 1600 if you can believe that, shutter speed 1/200 and aperture at 2.8 (wide open). Despite those conditions, they are tack sharp with virtually no grain at all. Have I mentioned how much I love my camera? :)
Ellie was her usual amazing self. She can work it even during a mini 10 minute shoot. It didn't hurt that she was bonkers about her blanket and had a ton of fun thinking up new "poses" with it. I should mention Gavin got to pick one too and that he has been sleeping with it every night since then (yes, he is 7yrs old and I think that's just way cute) so I am going to try to convince him to do a mini shoot with his blanket too if I can (he is in a no-photo mode these days). But, seeing him cuddled up with his new blanket is totally adorable. Oh, and I should mention that the kids must have said: "these are SO SOFT!" about a gizillion times....
Here is Miss Ellie. Soon to be Kindergartner Ellie. :)
p.s. her big wound on her arm is FINALLY healing but she is definitely going to have one hell of a scar. :(
