It is SUCH a joy being able to photograph my friends. It's basically me hanging out with them and taking pictures at the same time. Just FUN! These guys are especially near and dear to my heart. I've known David for ages, we also used to work together a long time ago. When he met Kristy, I fell in love with her too and was crossing my fingers that it would lead to this..... "This" being baby Dani.
I have been able to document their entire journey, from their engagement photos, to their wedding, to their pregnancy and their newborn shoot. And now, 6 months after her arrival into their lives, I get to document this adorable age!
Dani was such a kick. This girl knows what she likes and knows what she doesn't like. She was like this as a five day old newborn too! She was cracking us up with that little quivering lower lip!
We started out with this outfit and tub and she quickly decided that she did NOT like it one bit.
So, we moved on to the grassy area. We had a moment of HAPPY FLYING BABY! Yipppeeee!
And then we got a very clear signal from her that she did not like this grass one tiny bit.... :)
I know, evil of me to capture that shot. So, we put a blanket under her and she liked that much better. I don't usually like to put blankets down but it definitely helped for a little bit! Look at that sweet face!!
We put Dani on her back and she discovered the joy of her thumb for the very first time! So exciting! And way cute!
Then we had to get a few shots with this very special dress that grandma got her! (I promise, Kristy is holding on to her tightly, I just photoshopped her arm out!)
Then, we decided to try one last time to get a few tub shots in but decided to change tubs and headband. After all, maybe she just didn't like our initial tub/headband choice!? Right? Well, lo and behold, she was ALL SMILES with the new tub and headband. She just may be a little fashionista! We got a TON of great shots here. The light was gorgeous and the backdrop was lovely and the model was stunning! Perfection! :)

Dave and Kristy, thanks for hanging out, thanks for not freaking out when we had technical difficulties, thanks for being so chill when Dani was letting us know how she felt about our agenda, thanks for the wonderful gifts you gave me, thanks for being such awesome friends and mostly, thanks for making such a gorgeous, sweet baby for me to photograph. I hope you make me some more. :)
