I've been photographing Oliver his entire life. And we do his shoot every year during his birthday week. It's a long standing tradition that I am honored to be able to keep doing year after year for this lovely family. We decided to try a new spot this time, one I've never shot at before, but one that holds a lot of meaning to them. They all love sailing, dad belongs to a sailing club and they spend a lot of time here at the SC Harbor. So, we figured it was the perfect location! I will admit that with my gimpy ankle and my natural inclination to seem to have a somewhat accident prone nature, I was a bit nervous about hobbling around, on and off boats/docks surrounded by a large body of water.... I could just picture myself going for an unexpeted swim with all my gear on me... but luckily, it all went swimmingly well without taking the plunge. Tee hee. :)
Oliver has a great deal of spunk and fire in him so getting him animated is never a concern. Corraling and directing all that spunk is where my talents come into play. And we make a great team. I got a HUGE hug at the end, like I always do, and it was really fun shooting in a new location and facing totally new and different lighting challenges and finding spots as we walked around.
Patricia and Leo, so great hanging out with the three of you, ENJOY your images!
