Another long time and most beloved family! I've been photographing them since Adam (their first born) was just a wee little baby! Despite having moved away from Santa Cruz a few years ago, they still commit to driving all the way down to SC from the Napa area JUST for their annual shoot with little ole me! It's such an honor and a real treat to be able to continue that bond, friendship and connection with each of them. They added Rex The Great Dane mix into the family last year so now I get to develop a relationship with him too which is pretty easy since I'm such a big dog lover due to my own big lovey Marmaduke-ish dog in my life! We were blessed with INSANELY gorgeous weather which we get every year since Julianne, smart pants that she is, books up the first weekend in November slot within minutes of me posting my calendar for the following year. It's HER date! And she knows that it's the most fabulous time of year in SC and pretty much guaranteed to be stunning. This year did not disappoint! We picked a fun spot for the boys with trees to climb and a river to throw rocks in. Of course, trying to wrangle the attention of two rambunctious and energetic boys towards a camera when there's ROCKS TO THROW AND TREES TO CLIMB(!!!) was a little challenging not to mention capturing the attention and cooperation of a dog in the mix as well... but we managed just fine despite the circumstances! The boys had loads of fun playing and I was able to use this opportunity to capture a bunch of fun candids that I know Julianne will just love. The Fall colors and the SC light were just mind blowing and combined with their BLUER THAN BLUE eyes, it made my heart sing. There's one shot with mom & dad and Rex and as I was editing, you can see the boys, in the distance, climbing the trees in the frame of the shot. I did not orchestrate that so I can't take any credit for it but it made me all kinds of happy because that's the kind of little secret to the shot that makes it so very special! :)
Julianne & Marchus, ENJOY the sneak peek! LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
